The following Races are selected by the International Tempest Association for the Euro Cup 1999 :

To give a chance for those who are not able to come to St. Raphaël at Easter " Euro Cup " , the French Master (Internationaux de France de Tempest ) may be used instead of the " Tempest à Pâques (Ostern) - Euro Cup "

The method of calculation applied is the same as the French Sailing Fédération (F.F.V = Fédération Française de Voile) uses. The number of points is given for each regatta according to the category, the number of boats classified during the regatta (without DNA), and the competitor's final result.
Four races will count for the Euro-Cup. Only one (the better one) of the two races in St. Raphaël can be used for the Euro-Cup. In case where no race can be sailed (lack of wind, etc..) each team-member who was ready to sail, can add 1/3 of his total points achieved in his three best Euro-Cup races.
Helmsman and crew will be classified seperately. This gives a crew the possibility to win the Euro-Cup.
Formula :
- L = number of points given for the last boat (helmsman and crew)
- F = number of points given for the first boat (helmsman and crew)
- NB = number of boats classified
- PL = ranking obtained by the competitors (helmsman and crew)
Number of points = ((F-L)*(NB-PL)/(NB+PL-2))+L
