The method of calculation applied is the same as the French Sailing Fédération (F.F.V = Fédération Française de Voile) uses. The number of points is given for each regatta according to the category, the number of boats classified during the regatta (without DNA), and the competitor's final result.
Four best races will count for the Euro-Cup 2001.Only the best one of the two regatta in France may be used, and only the best one of the two regatta in Germany may be used. In case where no race can be sailed (lack of wind, etc..) at the Tempest à Pâques regatta, the Int. French Tempest Master will be up graded to category EN. In case where no race can be sailed (lack of wind, etc..) at the German Master, the Tempest Riesling-Cup regatta will be up graded to category EN.
Helmsman and crew will be classified seperately. This gives a crew the possibility to win the Euro-Cup.
Formula :
Number of points = ((F-L)*(NB-PL)/(NB+PL-2)+L
